GROUP MEETINGS
LifeGroups meet in a variety of locations; on-campus in conjunction with our weekend worship services, in homes around town, or wherever else God leads. A group could even meet at Barnes and Noble! All that is needed is for you to contact a Group Leader and GET CONNECTED!
LIFEGROUPS
WHY SHOULD I JOIN A GROUP?
As good as our weekend services are, they are not enough for you to become
all that God intends for you. Here are just a few of the benefits of being in a LifeGroup
at Anastasia Baptist:
Opportunities to ask questions about the bible, leading to a greater understanding
of scripture.
Sense of belonging to God’s family at ABC. You will lose the feeling that you are just
a face in the crowd and you will genuinely connect with other Christians.
Support from members of your LifeGroup that will help you handle life’s stresses and
challenges better. It’s through a LifeGroup that you will receive care from “the Church.”
Opportunities to develop leadership skills. Our LifeGroups are designated with a sharedleadership approach in mind. Every believer has gifts that are to be used
to benefit the body.
In a LifeGroup, you will be challenged to discover how you are wired to serve God and
then find a place to serve, not only in the group, but also in a ministry of the church.

CrossTalk is an active LifeGroup with about 35 members (25-30
usually in class) in the 60-80 age group, including several snowbirds. We rotate lesson
teachers with 4-5 men within the class membership. Lesson resources vary from Books
of the Bible to online teachers from RightNowMedia.org. We try to have at least one
monthly local outing with quarterly breakfasts in class. We also try to have quarterly
business/planning meetings to select contributions to local needy ministries/families.
We are a fun, energetic group.

God created us to be in community with one another, and we
share Jesus together in studying His truths of Scripture and worship, fellowshipping,

another in our discussions, in a safe environment as we continue to grow in our spiritual
accountability and maturity in Christ. And, God never intended us to live the Christian
life alone.

“lived out” each week. We do give out homework for each lesson and our time
together is in discussion format. Digging Deeper is a group of those primarily
over 50 years consisting of both couples and singles.
